EAST LANSING, Mich. – A warrant sweep conducted by the East Lansing Police Department (ELPD) over the past two and a half weeks has resulted in the arrest of 47 individuals and the closing of 70 warrants.

The warrant sweep was conducted in an effort to actively seek out outstanding warrants issued by ELPD. Individuals with outstanding warrants were arrested for aggravated assault, home invasion, malicious destruction of property, traffic violations and other related criminal and civil charges.

ELPD will be continuing to track down individuals with outstanding warrants over the coming weeks. Individuals who have outstanding traffic tickets or a criminal charge are encouraged to turn themselves in at the East Lansing 54-B District Court, 101 Linden St.
