East Lansing Offers Temporary Recycling Site for Boxboard, Corrugated Cardboard
EAST LANSING, Mich. – The City of East Lansing has set up a temporary recycling drop-off site at Patriarche Park, located at the corner of Alton Road and Saginaw Street. Items that can be dropped off at this site include boxboard and corrugated cardboard.
The site is located in the parking lot off of Alton Road, adjacent to the temporary Christmas tree drop-off site. The recycling containers for boxboard and corrugated cardboard will remain in place until early spring, when Patriarche Park begins to be actively used again.
Last Call on Christmas Tree Recycling
It’s not too late for community members to recycle their live-cut Christmas trees. Community members have up until Friday, Jan. 16 to drop off trees at any of the following locations:
-Patriarche Park – in the parking lot on Alton Road
-Emerson Park – at the Arbor Drive entrance
-Fine Park – in the parking lot at Winchester Drive
-Valley Court Park – south of the Valley Court Community Center
-White Memorial Park – in the parking lot at Pebblebrook Lane
Community members who cannot take their trees to the drop-off sites can place their tree curbside on Monday, Jan. 12 for City curbside collection. Advance phone request and stickers are not required. Trees that are greater than six feet in length must be cut in half. Community members should remove trees from bags and remove all holiday decorations and tree stands prior to recycling at the drop-off sites or curbside.
