Cedar Fest Sentencing Update

 
EAST LANSING, Mich. – A 19-year-old Rochester Hills woman was sentenced Monday, Sept. 29 to seven days in jail on charges of minor in possession of alcohol and malicious destruction of property during Cedar Fest.

In addition to jail time, Jaclyn Doroshewitz was placed on probation for 24 months by East Lansing 54-B District Court Judge David L. Jordon and ordered to pay $2,214.40 in fines, costs and assessments, including $1,074.40 in restitution for expenses incurred by the City of East Lansing, expenses incurred by assisting agencies and damage to private property during the riot.

Judge Jordon also ordered Doroshewitz to complete a substance abuse treatment program while on probation and prohibited her from possessing or consuming alcohol or illegal drugs while on probation. She is required to perform breath and urine tests to show she has not violated the probation order.

Judge Jordon also prohibited Doroshewitz from entering any public college, community college or university campus prior to December 19, 2008. Doroshewitz must also perform 80 hours of community service.
